The GoSun Grill uses parabolic reflectors which concentrate the suns rays toward the Borosilicate Glass Vacuum Tube. This glass tube is the perfect insulator and the heart of the GoSun Grill; it traps the sun’s heat (giving consistent cooking temperatures throughout, up to 500°F) while keeping a Cool-To-The-Touch exterior.

The GoSun Grill is the big brother to the GoSun Sport; a product introduced through Kickstarter in 2013. When the GoSun Sport finally got into the hands of their backers, it was met with praise and positive reviews. All the claims that were made, were met. 2 years later and the GoSun Grill shows three noticeable improvements/differences: a larger oven, a thermometer and night-time cooking capabilities.

  • While the GoSun Sport was great for its extreme portability (e.g. hiking, backpacking), backers wanted to see a larger oven; the GoSun Grill can serve up to 8 people (e.g. 4 lbs of chicken or 4 loaves of bread).
  • Backers wanted to see what temperatures they’d reach while using the GoSun Grill, so a thermometer was added onto the stainless steel insulated lid. Now users have better cooking control.
  • The most important thing backers wanted to see was a solar cooker that was able to cook a meal anytime, both day OR NIGHT! The GoSun Grill introduces us to the Thermal Battery (a safe, non-toxic organic wax encased in a polymer-coated aluminum frame), which makes cooking at night possible. The battery, which takes 2 hours of sunlight to charge, dispels heat/energy through the polymer-coated aluminum case; cooking your food in no time, ANYTIME!
