Slick ‘Biner The carabiners seem sturdy enough, as long as you are attentive to the load limits, and don’t put undue stress on the actual clips. The clips are not meant to bear any load, but to keep things from popping out before you tighten the lines.I got four of these, and clipped one to each corner of a 7’6″ x 9’6″ tarp. Then I took four, 15′ lengths of paracord and tied a bowline hitch on one end of each one. Throw in two aluminum tent stakes, and you have a quick shelter that you can pitch between two trees in about 60 seconds at a total cost of about $20 (if you buy everything locally).
