One of the most versatile and thought out hammocks that I’ve come across. The Hennessy Hammock comes with a rainfly, no-see-um netting, mesh pocket for your gear, hook for an LED light, long “Tree Hugger” webbing straps to protect the bark of trees, support ropes and stuff sack. Packing up is especially quick with the addition Snakeskin (sold separately). Check out the video below to see all the features:
Great Hammock/Tent 0
Get off your butt and go hang! I’ve been a hammock camper for a number of years and a couple of years ago upgraded from my old military hammock to this penthouse model. I took it on a couple of excursions, motorcycle trips and such, and loved it.So recently, an old shipmate and I went out for a week in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (if you haven’t been there, check it out, totally awesome) and I brought the Hennessy. We got out kinda late the first night and by the time we reached a campsite, it was dark, cold, and raining. No problema. Strung the fly (the hexagonal for a leetle more coverage) put my gear underneath on a ground sheet and strung the hammock without getting any wetter. Even with a good breeze coming off the lake, I stayed snug and dry. My friend in his tent had mud and water on the floor and roots underneath. For us older folks, since you sleep on the diagonal with these asymmetricals, you light flat instead of in the banana position. No stiff back in the mornings, good nights…
