The Stansport Outfitter Series Propane Stove features: two 25,000 BTU burners, heavy duty grate, windscreens, piezo igniter, control valves for heat regulation and stainless steel drip pan for easy cleanup. Operates with a small disposable 1-lb propane tank or bulk tank. A slightly cheaper alternative to the Camp Chef Everest Mountain Series stove.

Powerful Stove, Poorly Built I must give the Chinese credit. They are masters at making products cheaply. The first one I got was defective with the internal regulator mount loose. This made connecting and disconnecting the regulator very difficult. Amazon replaced the defective stove very quickly. After 5+ years shopping with Amazon I have been fairly dealt with. The stove is very powerful as others have written. The design is pleasing to the eye and it functions well as intended. The wind screens hook into the lid which I prefer over the Coleman style bobby pin method. The controls and piping seem very solid and light up the stove without problem. The burners are stainless steel and very substantial. The burner wind screens protect the burners from moderate gusts. The wind was blowing 3-5 mph when I first tested it. Be aware they will rust with time given the high heat exposure. The instructions are printed on both sides of one sheet of glossy paper. They are mostly CYA warnings. A pink…

Stansport Outfitter 50,000 BTU meets my needs. Just spent a weekend camping with the Stansport Outfitter 50,000 BTU propane stove. Mine arrived with the bottom dented slightly where it looked as if one of the feet got pushed on. As another review said, this isn’t made of real heavy guage sheetmetal, but mine holds up fine to a heavy loaded stock pot and cast iron pans. The side panels don’t look like they would block the wind too well, but again, I was pleasantly surprised that the stove cooked nicely in a moderate breeze. The burner controls work well and the ignitor fired it right up. Cleanup after frying bacon was a snap thanks to the stainless steel construction and an easily removable grate. But my favorite feature of this stove by far is the awesome BTU output. No need to twiddle your thumbs while waiting for the sweet corn water to boil. And best of all, that first morning coffee is ready in no time flat. Overall, this stove met or exceeded my needs. If you don’t drop kick it all the way to your camp, it should hold up well…
